Bringing in the thunder, more than 2,000 rough-riding, leather bound bikers will show their softer sides in an effort to save more than 133,000 Georgia babies born each year. Born in Atlanta in 1992, the March of Dimes Motorcycle Ride to Save Babies is the March of Dimes’ fastest growing event and one of the largest motorcycle fundraising rides in the country! Once again this
year, motorcyclists from across the country will gather in the heart of the city for a weekend full of activities! The ride weekend will culminate on Sunday afternoon with the Peachtree Thunder Parade, a closed-road parade route on Peachtree Street from downtown Atlanta to Buckhead. The parade includes the exclusive “Buckhead loop”, the high point that allows riders to pass by one another as they loop back to the start/finish line at Lakewood. Escorted by 100 officers from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Reserve Unit and led by local Grand Marshalls, Atlanta
Chief of Police Richard Pennington, Eagle 106.7 FM’s Rhubarb Jones, these riders will be more than a sight to see. They will be heard from miles away as they rumble their way through the city.
