Downtowners' main Underground concern: traffic - A group of new nightclubs at Underground Atlanta could potentially give the perennially struggling entertainment district a shot in the arm, but downtown residents are concerned that increased activity there could also make getting around downtown even more difficult. Comprehensive development plan on mayor's agenda - The focus of Mayor Shirley Franklin’s next two years in office will be to create a comprehensive economic development for Atlanta, and particularly downtown, she told a group of downtown residents this week.
