South Downtown kicks off summer with a daylong community celebration on Founders Green (Broad Street between Mitchell and MLK) on Friday, June 13. The event marks the neighborhood's debut as a destination before international World Cup visitors arrive.
Morning: Kids soccer clinic and morning yoga in Founders Green.
Noon: Tiny Doors ATL unveils four new miniature doors with a community toast.
Afternoon: DJ performances, complimentary King of Pops (while supplies last), and local restaurants and retail open along Mitchell, Broad, and Peachtree streets. Smorgasburg operates 11 AM–7 PM.
Evening: FIFA World Cup watch parties on the big screen at Founders Green — matches at 3 PM, 6 PM, and 9 PM.
