Flyleaf's 2005 self-titled debut was one of the defining records of the mid-2000s Christian rock and post-grunge crossover era — introducing "I'm So Sick," "All Around Me," and a collection of tracks that fused heavy guitars with deeply personal lyrics. Original vocalist Lacey Sturm's departure in 2012 marked the end of that era, and while the band continued with Kristen May at the helm, the Sturm-era lineup remains the definitive version for most of the fanbase.
The 20th Anniversary Tour brings Sturm back to the fold for a celebration of the album that made them, revisiting the record that launched careers and soundtracked a generation of alt-rock radio listeners. The Tabernacle is the right room for it — an intimate, acoustically exceptional venue that serves the material perfectly.
