Safety & Security
Flock Safety cameras installed across the neighborhood. Ring cameras deployed. Significant lighting added to Historic Hotel Row terrace. A standing-room-only interview on homelessness featured Mayor Andre Dickens and Rich McKay (Atlanta Falcons).
Family Reunification — An unhoused individual trespassing on a dangerous construction site was located in the ADID database. Parents were contacted out of state and the individual was reunited with family by bus within the weekend.
Meetings held with Raphael Holloway MA LPC, Joselyn Baker (President, Grady Health Foundation), Cathryn Vassell Esq. LCSW (CEO, Partners for HOME), and Gateway Center CEO.
Community
ATV-Sylvan Designs Released — The co-working space in the historic Sylvan Hotel released its designs. 34 companies have already submitted applications.
Tours — YMCA Leadership, Fulton County Economic Development team, Quebec's Government Office in Atlanta, and Georgia Tech Alumni Association all toured the neighborhood.
Hotel Row Leasing — April and Brianna meeting with bar owners and restaurant entrepreneurs for Historic Hotel Row.
Arrowroot Capital Management donated office furniture for the workspace build-out.
Events
September 8: Lot Party IV — Pre-game celebration for the Falcons home opener at 11:00 AM.
South Downtown Community Tours — Morning stop at Spiller Park Coffee, afternoon at Wild Leap.
September 18: Atlanta History Center's Party with the Past — On Broad Street between MLK Jr. Drive and Mitchell Street.
