Atlanta tech ecosystem veteran raises $2 million for new startup

Karen Houghton, a veteran of Atlanta's tech scene and former partner at Atlanta Ventures, has launched her own startup. She and co-founder Connor Ford announced a $2 million funding round for Infinite Giving, a fintech platform serving nonprofits. The company provides financial technology solutions enabling small and mid-sized nonprofits to receive donations in various forms — including cash, stocks, and cryptocurrency — while managing reserve funds and making conservative investments.

As a registered investment adviser, Infinite Giving helps organizations establish brokerage accounts and endowments. The funding round was led by Houghton's former employer Atlanta Ventures, alongside Morgan Stanley and Texas-based Cubit Capital. David Cummings, founder of Atlanta Ventures, sits on Infinite Giving's board. The company was also recently accepted into a Morgan Stanley accelerator program.
