What it is
100 Edgewood Avenue is a former office building that Georgia State University is renovating for academic use. Downtown Atlanta Inc. describes an 18-story, 353,000-square-foot renovation by Georgia State University with a stated investment of $250 million. The university’s president wrote in April 2024 that the building, acquired in December 2023, could host high-demand academic programs such as art, health professions and computing, plus College-to-Careers innovation spaces, with dining and meeting space for students on the ground level.
Where it stands
The Downtown Atlanta Inc. investment map entry lists the project as planned, with a completion year of 2027. The university’s post gave no schedule or construction budget and said a redevelopment committee would develop proposals with academic deans, so which programs move in has not been announced there. The building is not yet open for the planned uses. The map says 18 stories; the university post says 17 floors.
