ACVB - Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau

What it is

The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) is the private, not-for-profit organization charged with bringing conventions and leisure travelers to the city. Founded in 1913, it works on behalf of Atlanta’s hospitality businesses and reports an estimated 51 million visitors to Atlanta in 2024. Its offices are in Suite 1400 at 233 Peachtree Street NE, in the heart of downtown.

How visitors can use it

For most travelers, the bureau’s work shows up at DiscoverAtlanta.com, its official visitor site. That’s where ACVB publishes things-to-do roundups, an events calendar with free events and weekend picks, restaurant and hotel guides sorted by neighborhood, getting-around tips, suggested itineraries, deals and a visitor guide. The site also offers content in Spanish and a site-language selector for several other languages.

For planners and partners

Meeting and event planners, group organizers and travel-trade professionals each have their own sections on the site, and local businesses can apply to become ACVB members. The bureau also posts its newsroom, publications, board meeting schedules and job openings online.
