What it is
Anh’s Kitchen is a small Atlanta Vietnamese group with three locations, and this one on Jesse Hill Jr. Drive is its Downtown outpost. The cooking centers on everyday Vietnamese staples made fresh each day, pulled together by the kitchen’s own fish sauce.
What to order
Pho is the anchor of the menu, from a beef combo and chicken to a spicy beef noodle bowl. Beyond the soup, look for grilled pork and shrimp vermicelli, drunken noodles, Anh’s fried rice and a grilled pork bánh mì. Fresh spring rolls come with a peanut dipping sauce, and crispy egg rolls are on the starter list too. Vegetarian options are available. For drinks, the house keeps it short: Vietnamese iced coffee, Thai tea and passionfruit lemonade.
Before you go
The Downtown location keeps weekday daytime hours and is closed on weekends, according to the restaurant, so it works best for a lunch break or an early dinner. You can dine in, take out or order delivery online through the restaurant’s site, and there is a rewards program that earns points on online orders.
