What it is
Cafe Momentum Atlanta is a nonprofit restaurant at 200 Peachtree Street, and a meal here does more than feed you. The restaurant is built around its interns: young people who have had contact with the juvenile justice system and who gain life skills, education and job experience through the program. Atlanta is one of the organization’s four restaurants, along with Dallas, Denver and Pittsburgh, and the menu leans on regional Southern cooking.
Before you go
Service days are limited, so plan ahead. The restaurant posts lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Wednesday through Friday only. Reservations, the current menu and gift cards are on the Cafe Momentum Atlanta page, or you can call 770-881-8790.
