Mayor's Park

What it is

Mayor’s Park is a small downtown green space on Peachtree Street NE, near Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard. Downtown Atlanta Inc. lists it as one of the sites in the Downtown Daffodil Project, a placemaking and art activation effort that plants daffodils across the district.

Around it

The park is within walking distance of several downtown stops. The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is 0.4 miles away, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta is 0.4 miles southwest, and the Fox Theatre and Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse are 0.5 and 0.2 miles to the north. For a bite, Catch 12 and Max Lager’s Wood Fired Grill & Brewery are both within about 700 feet, and The Hub at Peachtree Center and AmericasMart are within 0.3 miles.

Mayor's Park sits at the northern gateway of downtown Atlanta, overlooking the Downtown Connector (I-75/85) where The Stitch project will eventually build 14 acres of green space, an amphitheater, a school, and a skate park over the highway — reconnecting downtown to Midtown for the first time since the freeway divided the city in the 1960s.

In June 2026, local artist Eddie Farr unveiled Where We Weave, a neon light sculpture celebrating the park and the Stitch vision. Jack Cebe is CEO of Stitch Inc., the nonprofit driving the project. Phase 1 (Peachtree Green, ~5 acres) is targeted for completion 2026–2030.
