What it is
Teachers Village is a planned high-rise at 98 Cone Street NW that aims to provide affordable housing for teachers and seniors. Downtown Atlanta Inc. lists 424 housing units: 197 workforce apartments and 227 senior apartments, plus 22,995 square feet of retail, with RBH Group as developer and a stated investment of $370 million. RBH’s own project page describes a model of shared, intergenerational living and gives a slightly different mix of 203 workforce and 227 senior apartments, for 430 homes. It places the site in Fairlie-Poplar, bounded by Walton, Poplar and Cone Streets and Ted Turner Drive, near Five Points MARTA and the downtown streetcar.
Where it stands
The Downtown Atlanta Inc. investment map entry lists the project as planned, with a completion year of 2027. The RBH Group project page does not give a construction status or opening date. The unit counts differ between the two pages, so treat 424 to 430 homes as the current range.
