White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails

What it is

White Oak is a restaurant and wine bar at the corner of Peachtree Street and Baker Street, open since 2012. The kitchen cooks what it calls Cuisine du Sud, pairing Southern American flavors with coastal French, Italian and Spanish influences. The official site lists dishes such as Gulf shrimp with creamy polenta, wood-grilled ribeye and housemade pasta, plus a beer, wine and cocktail bar. The wine list has a ten-year record of Wine Spectator recognition. Three private dining rooms are available for business dinners and group events, and a weekly half-price bottle night runs on Thursdays.
