The Atlanta Hawks have released their promotional calendar for the 2026-27 season, with 15 signature game-night experiences planned at State Farm Arena. The lineup mixes giveaways, performances, family entertainment and community celebrations with the basketball itself.
Opening Night and the NBA Cup
The season tips off Saturday, Oct. 24, when the Hawks host the Houston Rockets for Opening Night presented by State Farm. Fans attending the game will receive a complimentary black T-shirt.
The Hawks are also part of the Emirates NBA Cup 2026, hosting Washington on Nov. 6 and Charlotte on Nov. 20 as two Cup Nights presented by Harrah's Cherokee Casinos.
Kids Games
Three games are built around younger fans, each with a giveaway for 2,000 kids:
Nov. 22 vs. Detroit: Harry the Hawk slippers for the first 2,000 children. Feb. 7 vs. Denver: Harry the Hawk beanies for the first 2,000 kids. March 13 vs. Orlando: 2,000 special drawstring bags.
Bobblehead nights
Four bobbleheads are on the schedule, each going to the first 5,000 fans while supplies last. Nickeil Alexander-Walker gets his on Dec. 3, honoring his 2025-26 Kia NBA Most Improved Player award. Onyeka Okongwu follows on Dec. 31, Jalen Johnson on Jan. 13, and Ted Turner on March 3.
Community and theme nights
Several dates celebrate the people and culture around the team:
MLK Forever Game, Jan. 18. Black Excellence Night, Feb. 1. HBCU Night, Feb. 12. Crowning Courage Night, honoring military personnel, March 4. Ladies Night, March 11.
Two themes are new this season. Single AF Night on Jan. 7 against Indiana gives single fans a chance to meet and mingle during the game. '90s Night on March 29 against Minnesota celebrates the music, fashion and pop culture of that decade.
A Holiday Game on Dec. 23 comes with a beanie giveaway, and the calendar culminates April 9 against Boston with True to Atlanta Night, celebrating the fans and culture that define the Hawks' home-court experience.
Planning your nights downtown
With games spread from October through April, the calendar is a handy guide for anyone who likes to pair a Hawks game with dinner or drinks nearby. Many giveaways are limited to the first fans through the doors, so anyone chasing a bobblehead or a pair of Harry the Hawk slippers should plan to get to the arena well before tipoff.
