What it is
State Farm Arena is downtown’s indoor arena and the home court of the Atlanta Hawks. The Atlanta Dream play playoff games here too, and the schedule between games fills with touring concerts. The building opened in September 1999, went through a full renovation in 2017 and 2018, and took the State Farm name that August. It holds 16,888 for basketball and a little over 15,500 for concerts, all facing a center-hung video board that wraps a full 360 degrees.
Food and drink
Levy runs the concessions, and the menu program, called Taste of Atlanta, is led by chief culinary officer Chef G. Garvin, an Atlanta native who keeps things simple with a Southern twist. Local names are part of the mix, including J.R. Crickets and Dolo’s Pizza. For a seat with more room, the arena runs five clubs, among them the Sharecare Social Club, the Concert Club and the Delta Sky360 Club, along with lofts, Veranda Suites and Topgolf Swing Suites.
