Peachtree Towers

A 23-story 1962 high-rise that was Atlanta's tallest residential building when it opened — studio, one- and two-bedroom condominiums on the Peachtree hotel-and-office corridor. The ornate marble arch out front is a preserved piece of Atlanta history: the four sections of the original entrance facade of the old Atlanta Carnegie Library, saved when the library was demolished.

Peachtree Towers

What it is

Peachtree Towers is a condominium building at 300 Peachtree St NE. It was built in 1962 by the C.D. Spangler Construction Company, and the building's own site says that at 23 stories and 240 feet it was the tallest residential building in Atlanta at the time and the first residential building in the center of the city.

Residences

Today the tower holds 330 condominiums, in studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom layouts. Homes are described as move-in ready. Monthly dues cover water, sewer, trash and electric. The hallways and common areas have been renovated, and the units have double-pane windows for better energy efficiency. The original 1962 construction is credited with strong soundproofing between homes.

Before you go

It is a pet-free building. Concierge and building contacts are listed on the Peachtree Towers website.
