What it is
Ray's in the City is the downtown Atlanta member of the Ray's Restaurants family. Ray Schoenbaum opened Ray's on the River on the Chattahoochee in 1984, and Ray's in the City and Ray's at Killer Creek in Alpharetta followed soon after. The group says Ray's helped reshape fine dining in Atlanta.
Food and drink
The restaurants describe their cooking as fresh seafood and charbroiled steaks, with cocktails and a fine wine list. After almost forty years, Schoenbaum stepped away and handed the restaurants to a father-and-son team of restaurateurs, who say they are carrying the original service and food forward.
