Ted's Montana Grill

Old West-style steakhouse chain known for its burgers & chops made from bison.

Ted's Montana Grill

What it is

Ted’s Montana Grill has a downtown Atlanta location at 133 Luckie Street. The company was founded by Ted Turner and George McKerrow, and it styles its restaurants after 19th-century saloons serving classic American dishes. Its own pitch is that bison is the cornerstone of the menu, and it says it serves more bison than any restaurant in the world.

Food and drink

The chain’s menu is organized into starters, salads, burgers, poultry, seafood, bison, steaks, sides, kids and desserts. It publishes a gluten-free menu and an interactive allergen tool, and says its bison is ranch-raised on grass and finished on grain, with most coming from Ted Turner’s ranches. The location’s own menu carries the wine, beer and cocktail list.

Before you go

The company says all locations welcome large parties in the main dining room, and some have a private room. Reservations go through the restaurant directly, and the downtown phone number on the Ted’s locations page is 404-521-9796.
