Tame Impala is the project of Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, who writes, records, and produces virtually everything himself before assembling a full band for the road. His four albums — Innerspeaker (2010), Lonerism (2012), Currents (2015), and The Slow Rush (2020) — chart a consistent evolution from fuzzy psychedelic rock toward synthesizer-drenched electronic pop without ever losing the thread of groove and longing that defines the catalog. Songs like "Let It Happen," "The Less I Know the Better," "Lost in Yesterday," and "Eventually" have become staples of any serious contemporary rock playlist.
Opener Djo is the solo project of Joe Keery — best known as Steve Harrington from Stranger Things, but increasingly recognized as a genuinely compelling artist in his own right, with melodic, hook-driven indie pop that owes as much to Todd Rundgren as it does to modern alternative. Both nights at State Farm Arena are July 11 and 12.
