What it is
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is the state agency behind the big-event campus on the west side of downtown. Its headquarters sit at the Georgia World Congress Center, 285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW, and the same team oversees Centennial Olympic Park, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the Signia by Hilton Atlanta hotel. Beyond Atlanta, the Authority also runs the Savannah Convention Center.
Why it matters to visitors
Chances are you’ll pass through Authority property on a downtown trip, whether you’re at a trade show in the convention halls, a game or concert at the stadium, or a lunch break in the park. The venues are designed as one connected campus, which is why a convention, a championship game and a festival can all run in the same weekend within a few blocks of each other. Every facility on the campus is ADA compliant, and guests with disabilities and their assistive animals are welcome.
Before you go
The Authority’s role is running the venues. Tickets and schedules for a particular event come from that event or venue. Use the GWCCA website for general questions about the campus, its venues and its economic-impact reporting, or reach the main office at (404) 223-4000.
