DessertBox

What it is

DessertBox is a bakery counter inside CTR Food Works, the food hall at The CTR, the former CNN Center on Marietta Street. The bakery takes its cues from classic French pastry and from the comfort desserts most of us grew up on, and it keeps other Atlanta counters at Chattahoochee Food Works and Vela Park. Its own site names chef Steven Ferdinand and pastry chef Pichet Ong as the people behind it.

Food and drink

Expect a glass case of cakes and cupcakes, plus pies, breads, a few savory bites and whatever seasonal items are in rotation. It works as a sweet finish after a meal elsewhere in the hall, which gathers chef-run kitchens around shared seating and a large full-service bar. If you would rather have a scoop, Morelli’s Ice Cream is in the same hall. Updates are on the DessertBox website.

The CTR’s directory lists DessertBox hours as 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
