One of downtown Atlanta's most ambitious adaptive-reuse projects reaches a milestone on June 17, when 207 Peachtree opens the first wave of a six-concept dining and entertainment campus inside a restored 1920s landmark at the corner of Peachtree Street and Andrew Young International Boulevard.
The 45,000-square-foot building once housed Regenstein's Department Store, designed by the Atlanta firm Pringle & Smith and a downtown retail fixture until 1978. Developer RPB Management Group is activating every floor, turning the historic shell into a vertical entertainment district just steps from the Five Points core.
Two new venues anchor the June 17 debut. American Dive, tucked into the building's historic lower level, pairs live music with Southern barbecue, pool tables, darts and arcade games — a deliberately unpretentious counterpoint to the polish upstairs. On the third floor, Peachtree Sporting Club brings an upscale sports-bar experience built around a 20-foot video wall and golf and sports simulators, positioning itself as a marquee World Cup watch destination.
They join two established tenants already operating in the building since 2016, the speakeasy-style Red Phone Booth and Italian concept Amalfi Cucina + Mercato. Still to come are the Aire Rooftop Lounge, an indoor-outdoor bar with skyline views, and a 10,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom with 14-foot ceilings and crystal chandeliers built to host 300-plus guests.
The timing is no accident: 207 Peachtree opens its doors two days into Atlanta's eight-match FIFA World Cup run, adding a multi-level food-and-nightlife option within walking distance of both the FIFA Fan Festival and Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
