$15M dining and market buildout coming to Bank of America Plaza, Georgia's tallest tower

Owner CP Group has hired New York-based Episcope Hospitality to run three new concepts at 600 Peachtree Street NE, including a 37th-floor tenant club opening by year's end.

The tallest building in Georgia is getting a hospitality overhaul, and most of it will be open to anyone who walks in. CP Group, the Boca Raton, Fla.-based owner of Bank of America Plaza at 600 Peachtree Street NE, says it is spending $15 million to add a restaurant and bar, a gourmet market and cafe, and a private tenant club inside the 55-story tower. Construction started in June.

CP Group has hired Episcope Hospitality to run the new spaces, which total roughly 18,000 square feet. The move marks Episcope's first project in Atlanta; the company operates concepts in Boston, Las Vegas and Chicago, and runs several food-and-beverage venues at The Penn District in New York, where its lineup includes an all-day coffee shop and market with two locations, a full-service restaurant and bar, and a tenant-only rooftop bar. Episcope will also take over the tower's lobby barista bar, Spire Espresso + Spirits.

The first piece to open will be the members-only part. A tenant club on the 37th floor, built around skyline views and designed for working, dining and private events, is expected to debut by the end of this year with an Episcope food-and-beverage program. It is the only one of the three concepts limited to building tenants; CP Group says the rest are designed to serve the surrounding neighborhood alongside office workers and visitors.

Replacing the tower's former food hall is a restaurant and bar called West Wing, with multiple lounges and dining areas, warm wood finishes, custom furnishings and layered lighting that CP Group describes as drawing on hotel lobby design. A large-format screen is part of the plan, which the owner says will let the building host watch parties, cultural programming and community events. Next door, a market and cafe will run through the workday with chef-prepared grab-and-go meals, specialty coffee, pastries, and made-to-order sandwiches and salads. Both West Wing and the market are scheduled to open in early 2027. Episcope will also handle in-suite catering and delivery for offices throughout the building.

The hospitality work caps a second phase of improvements at the property that CP Group puts at $70 million since it acquired the tower in 2022. Earlier spending covered 100,000 square feet of spec suites, a redesigned lobby and arrival area, and the lobby cafe and bar. Other amenities include a 17,000-square-foot fitness center, a salon, an on-site bank branch and a renovated 10,000-square-foot conference center. Founding partner Chris Eachus said the Episcope partnership builds on that investment with experiences meant to serve both tenants and the wider community, while Episcope founder David Morton said the firm had been watching the Atlanta market for years.

The project team includes architecture firms ASD/SKY and Kuo Diedrich Chi, with Leapley Construction building it. CP Group controls more than 8 million square feet of commercial real estate around Atlanta, including Piedmont Center in Buckhead and The CTR, the former CNN Center downtown, where the owner has floated a social destination called The Looking Glass.
