Alabama Street will be de-malled with light traffic and on-street parking at Underground Atlanta

A cabaret, restaurant and dance club designed for LGBTQ+ patrons will debut in downtown Atlanta's redeveloped Underground project. Future will occupy block four of the four-block development adjacent to Five Points MARTA station.

Owners Keith Young and Hoosh Mishu secured a 10-year lease for the 14,000 square-foot, two-story venue at the southwest corner of Pryor and Alabama streets. The establishment will serve lunch and dinner while hosting cabaret performances led by "RuPaul's Drag Race" contestant Phoenix.

The space will also accommodate private events. Walix Construction is handling demolition and construction, with Axis managing architecture and Planning Interiors, Inc. overseeing design.

Young stated that the name reflects "the development and the opportunities that are to come right here in the heart of Atlanta." Future joins other Underground components including the YOTEL hotel on block one and workforce housing by Prestwick Companies on block three.
