Pins Mechanical Company, a game bar featuring dining and bar spaces, is set to open in downtown Atlanta as part of the South Dwntn development. Rise Brands, based in Columbus, Ohio, operates the concept with eight existing locations in cities like Nashville and Charlotte. The venue will occupy 222 Mitchell Street as the first tenant in Newport's South Dwntn project.
The 25,000 square-foot open-air establishment is expected to launch in early to mid-2023. It will include elements from sister brand 16-Bit Bar+Arcade, an outdoor courtyard, rooftop patios, three full bars, and duckpin bowling. Additional entertainment options comprise bocce ball, patio pong, ping pong, and pinball.
The business will serve cocktails, beers, punches, wines, boozy slushies, and mocktails, though it will not serve food.
The seven-story building at 222 Mitchell, vacant for nearly two decades, previously housed the Citizens & Southern Bank. It combines a 1909 brick structure with two mid-century modern buildings as the central component of South Dwntn, which aims to redevelop eight historic blocks with offices, restaurants, entertainment venues, and residential and hotel options.
