The opening of a new Atlanta BeltLine trail is landing with a full activation schedule at the mixed-use development next door. Terminal South, the ~45,000-square-foot adaptive-reuse project in Peoplestown at 1155 Hank Aaron Drive SE and 1161 Ridge Avenue SE, has rolled out a summer program keyed to the newly opened Southside Trail — which now runs directly alongside the property.
The programming leans on the BeltLine's foot and bike traffic. Free weekly fitness classes are part of the Atlanta BeltLine Fitness Series. Family game nights run every Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. On select Saturdays in June and July, "Flashback on the Tracks" brings 80s and 90s music to the on-site patio. A free salsa night dance class is set for June 20 from 6 to 7 p.m., with free parking for visitors. FIFA World Cup watch parties are scheduled through the tournament.
Terminal South was built out of former industrial warehouse buildings. The current footprint includes restaurants, retail tenants, event space, and Switchman Hall — a food hall housing 18 dining concepts — plus free WiFi and family-oriented programming. The project's proximity to downtown Atlanta and its direct BeltLine connection have been central to the leasing pitch since the property came online.
The Southside Trail segment closes a longstanding gap in the BeltLine's southern arc. Its opening is expected to drive an immediate lift in casual foot traffic to the corridor's dining and retail — Terminal South among the largest beneficiaries.
