Atlanta advances the Stitch project for park capping Downtown Connector
Atlanta City Council created a special tax district this week to help fund the Stitch, a 14-acre elevated park that will cap three-quarters of a mile of the Downtown Connector between Ted Turner Drive and Piedmont Avenue. The first phase, funded by $200 million in federal grants, is scheduled to begin construction in late 2026.
