What it is

The Mitchell is a 19-story apartment tower at 250 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW, the first residential tower to open within Centennial Yards, the mixed-use redevelopment taking shape in South Downtown. CIM Group and Centennial Yards Company held its ribbon-cutting on September 4, 2025, and Downtown Atlanta Inc. lists the $145 million project as complete, with 304 homes. The name honors the history of Atlanta’s Mitchell Street corridor.

Residences

Floor plans run from studios to three bedrooms, and some homes have balconies, walk-in closets and floor-to-ceiling windows. Shared spaces include a pool that looks out over the downtown skyline, a fitness center with a barre studio, co-working space with office suites, outdoor gathering areas, indoor event rooms with a catering kitchen, and a pet spa area.

Street level

Roughly 16,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space is planned at street level, along with large outdoor patio space. When the tower opened, CIM said Khao Thai Isan, a Thai tapas concept from the team behind 26 Thai, would take 4,730 square feet of it.
