What it is
AB Cookie Company is a cookie shop inside the Municipal Market in Sweet Auburn, started by baker Delronda Grant. She was inspired by her great auntie's chocolate chip cookies and moved from a hotel career into baking. The business began as a pop-up table at the market with a small selection of handmade cookies.
Food and drink
The shop says it makes cookies from scratch with real butter and natural flavors, baked fresh in each batch. Its signature flavors are a chunky chocolate chip and cookies n' cream.
Before you go
The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Monday. Call (404) 205-5315, or see the AB Cookie Company page on the market's site.
At the market
The Municipal Market at 209 Edgewood Ave SE opened on May 1, 1924, in a brick building designed by A. Ten Eyck Brown, and is now widely known as the Sweet Auburn Curb Market. The market's site describes it today as 28 independently owned businesses, from eateries and sweets to fresh meat, seafood and produce. Market hours are listed as 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., though each vendor keeps its own schedule.
