What it is
A Taste of Secrets is a Spanish-and-Jamaican fusion eatery inside the Municipal Market on Edgewood Avenue. It was started by Nydia Rodriguez and Misha Hudson, two food and hospitality veterans with more than ten years in the business between them. The idea is simple: Spanish cooking techniques meet Jamaican spice, with room left for “secret” flavors borrowed from other cuisines around the world.
Why stop in
The owners describe their goal as having something for everyone, whatever culture they come from, which makes this a good pick when you’re eating with a mixed crowd. Because it sits in a market hall with dozens of other merchants, you can pair a plate here with produce, sweets or a coffee from neighboring stalls in a single trip.
Before you go
The Market lists A Taste of Secrets as open Monday through Saturday from morning into the evening, and closed on Sundays. Online ordering for pickup and delivery runs through Toast, linked from the restaurant’s website, so you can call ahead and skip the wait at lunch.
Getting here
The Municipal Market sits at Edgewood Avenue and Jesse Hill Jr. Drive. The Atlanta Streetcar stops right across the street at the Sweet Auburn Market stop, and the Market’s own lot offers discounted parking for the first hour with merchant validation.
