What it is
Ponce City Market is one of intown Atlanta’s best-known destinations: a landmark building in Old Fourth Ward that mixes a food hall, local shops, offices, apartments and a rooftop, all in one place. The market highlights 56 locally owned businesses and bills itself as 10 steps from the BeltLine. The events calendar stays busy, with recent listings that include a run club, a draping demo and a sewing workshop, and the rooftop is an attraction of its own.
Before you go
Retail and the food hall keep different schedules. The market lists retail hours of 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, while the food hall runs 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Individual stores set their own hours, so check with a shop if you’re making a special trip. For overnight guests, Scout offers stays from a single night up to a year inside the complex.
Getting here
Coming off the BeltLine Eastside Trail, you enter on the third floor, walk through The Shed and The Trestle, and head down to the second-floor shops or the first-floor food hall. Bike parking is plentiful, and there is a repair station on Level 3 of the main deck. By transit, the market suggests riding MARTA to North Avenue Station and connecting on Bus 2 or Bus 102. Drivers can use the Main or North Avenue decks (enter near Pancake Social), the lower-level deck near Sweetgreen, or valet from North Avenue. Details are on the market’s Getting Here page.
