Two Japanese counters with metro Atlanta followings have moved into the Ponce City Market food hall. NoriFish, a sushi spot built around hand rolls, and Okiboru, a ramen and tsukemen shop, are both open in the stalls that once held Miso Ko and Ton Ton Ramen Bar.
Those two closed in January after a decade at the market, part of a turnover we noted in our early-2026 dining roundup. Both replacements trace back to chef Sean Park.
NoriFish: hand rolls, made to order
Park opened the first NoriFish in Sandy Springs four years ago and added a Buckhead location in 2025. The restaurant is known for hand rolls and for seafood sourced from Tokyo's Toyosu Fish Market. The Ponce City Market stall runs a smaller, tighter menu written for the space: made-to-order hand rolls and Japanese small plates, with sake, Japanese beer, wine and cocktails from the bar.
Okiboru: ramen and dipping noodles
Park and restaurateur Justin Lin started Okiboru in New York in 2018 and have since opened locations there and across metro Atlanta, in Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Duluth, Mall of Georgia and Kennesaw. The Ponce City Market counter serves ramen and tsukemen, the style where thick noodles are dipped into a concentrated broth, along with rice dishes and appetizers. The drinks list covers cocktails, sake, beer and non-alcoholic options like tea.
A food hall in its second act
The food hall opened in 2015 inside the old Sears, Roebuck and Co. building, three years after the Eastside Beltline trail opened alongside it. As the first round of leases has run out, many of the original stalls have closed, making room for newcomers and a brand-new wing. With the latest arrivals, the hall now counts more than 25 restaurants and stalls, serving Puerto Rican, Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai, Persian, Chinese and Korean food.
NoriFish and Okiboru also join three new stalls from Dinh Tran and Khanh Dang, the husband-and-wife team behind a Vietnamese restaurant, a cocktail lounge and listening room, and a Thai street food spot elsewhere in the city.
