The Fox Theatre

What it is

The Fox Theatre is the historic theatre at 660 Peachtree St NE. It opened on Christmas Day 1929, and after the building closed in 1974 a community fundraising effort called Save The Fox helped bring it back; it reopened in 1975 and now operates as a nonprofit. Today the calendar spans Broadway, comedy, concerts, family and holiday shows, with Atlanta Ballet and the Coca-Cola Film Series, which pairs classic films with live music, among the recurring names.

Programs

The Fox runs roughly hour-long guided tours, including Haunted History and Ghost tours, and tickets are needed for every guest. It also hosts weddings, corporate events and private parties, and runs the Marquee Club premium membership, Fox Gives preservation grants and education programs. The gift shop sells shirts, posters, pins and mugs, and gift cards can be used for tickets and tours.
