What it is
The Projects Restaurant and Lounge is at 264 Peters Street SW in Castleberry Hill. The owners describe it as a family-owned restaurant run by Atlanta natives, serving Deep South-inspired American food. The name and the menu nod to Atlanta’s public housing history, the first federally subsidized housing in the country having been built here in 1936 at Techwood Homes.

Dishes and cocktails are named for Atlanta neighborhoods and housing communities that no longer exist.
