Broadway Rave is exactly what the name promises: a dance party where the setlist is musical theatre. Expect wall-to-wall show tunes, a room that knows every word, and choreography that the crowd supplies without being asked.
The touring party has built a following by treating the cast album as club material — a run through the canon that swings from the standards to whatever opened last season, with the lighting and volume of a proper late-night set rather than a piano bar.
It lands in Purgatory, the mid-sized room at The Masquerade on Kennedy Street, on Saturday, November 21.
