What it is
Altar is one of the four indoor rooms at The Masquerade, the live music venue in Kenny's Alley at Underground Atlanta. The other three are named Heaven, Hell and Purgatory, and together the rooms range in capacity from 250 to 1,500. They surround a large brick open-air courtyard.
Programs
The Masquerade has presented rock, alternative, indie, electronic, metal, punk and hip hop since 1989, and Altar shows up on the venue's calendar next to the other rooms. Listings give each show's door time and whether it is all ages or 18+, so check before bringing younger fans. The venue promoted more than 800 shows in 2025 across its stages.

Browse upcoming Altar shows on the Masquerade website. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and buying there avoids online fees.
