What it is
The Masquerade is a live music venue that opened in 1989 and now sits in Kenny's Alley at Underground Atlanta. The venue says it is a short walk from the State Capitol, Georgia State University and Centennial Olympic Park, and that its stages surround a large brick open-air courtyard.
Programs
There are four indoor rooms, named Heaven, Hell, Purgatory and Altar, with capacities from 250 to 1,500. For 27 years the club lived in the historic Dupree's Excelsior Mill on North Avenue, and its history includes the first Warped Tour in 1992 and early editions of Shaky Knees, One Music Fest and The Wrecking Ball ATL. The Masquerade says it promoted more than 800 shows in 2025, across rock, alternative, indie, electronic, metal, punk and hip hop.
