Grucified is exactly what the name promises: a full Minion-themed dance party taking over Purgatory, the smallest and sweatiest of the Masquerade's three rooms, on a Saturday night in early October. Doors are late and the set runs later — this is the 9 p.m. slot, not an early show.
ILYA and Th3r4 handle the music. The costume energy is the point; expect denim overalls, goggles and a room that treats a children's-movie bit with total sincerity for three hours. The Masquerade has leaned into this kind of themed-night programming hard over the past two years, and Purgatory's low ceiling and tight floor are the right container for it.
The venue sits inside Underground Atlanta at 50 Lower Alabama Street, a short walk from Five Points MARTA. Tickets and age restrictions are on the Masquerade's own event page.
