Cheekface is a Los Angeles indie rock band whose wry, literate approach to post-punk songwriting has earned them a following among listeners who want their guitar music to be genuinely funny without sacrificing musical quality. Catbite is a Philadelphia ska and reggae band whose combination of upstroke guitar, brass, and genuine groove has made them one of the most energetic touring acts in the genre's current revival.
Together on a single bill at The Masquerade, they represent two adjacent ends of the independent music spectrum — a pairing that rewards an audience willing to engage with both. September 6.
