Elder is a Boston-based band whose evolution from heavy riff-based rock toward expansive psychedelic and progressive territory — across albums like Lore (2015), Reflections of a Floating World (2017), and Omens (2021) — has made them one of the most interesting heavy acts of the past decade. Their music is built for long listening sessions and live environments where the volume can match the ambition.
Bask is a Southwestern alternative and doom-influenced act whose catalog has built a following in the heavier corners of the independent music world. Together at The Masquerade on September 11, they constitute a full evening for listeners who want their rock instrumental, expansive, and heavy in the best sense. September 11.
