Icon For Hire is an alternative rock duo — vocalist Ariel and guitarist Shawn — whose recordings blend pop-punk energy with electronic production and a lyrical directness about mental health, identity, and self-determination that has earned them a fiercely loyal following. Their DIY approach to releasing music independently after departing their label has only strengthened their connection to an audience that values artists who operate on their own terms.
Their live show is known for high energy and close-range intensity. The Masquerade on September 5 is a well-matched environment for a band whose following came for the songs and stays for the performance. September 5.
