Pinkshift

Pinkshift is a Baltimore-based emo and indie rock band whose 2022 debut album Love Me Forever established them as one of the more exciting new acts in the genre — punky, hook-laden, and fronted by vocalist Ashrita Kumar, whose delivery carries both the urgency and emotional precision that the best emo has always required. The record landed well with listeners who came to the genre through both its 2000s peak and its 2020s revival.

Their live show has built a reputation on energy and directness — a band that plays like the songs were written to be performed first and recorded second. The Masquerade on June 25.
