Paige Fish
Indie-folk singer-songwriter Paige Fish brings her guitar-and-voice set to Purgatory at The Masquerade.
Paige Fish plays Purgatory at The Masquerade on Saturday, November 7.
Fish writes short, plainly worded indie-folk songs and delivers them with almost no cushioning — often just guitar and voice, occasionally with a rhythm section that stays deliberately out of the way. The material found its audience through the internet's appetite for exactly this kind of unguarded writing, and her rooms have grown accordingly without the songs getting any bigger.
That mismatch is the interesting part of a Paige Fish show: a few hundred people standing very quiet in a venue built for noise.
Doors are at 7 p.m. at 75 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW. Note that AJJ plays the Hell room the same night, so expect the Underground Atlanta block to be busy.
