ScHoolboy Q — 10 Years of Blank Face LP

ScHoolboy Q brings the 10 Years of Blank Face LP tour to The Tabernacle on Thursday, October 1. Blank Face LP arrived in 2016 as the Los Angeles rapper's densest and least accommodating record — a long, murky, gang-shadowed album that pulled in Kanye West, Anderson .Paak, Jadakiss, and Vince Staples without ever loosening its grip. It is the album that moved Q from Top Dawg Entertainment's supporting cast into his own lane, and the one his audience has spent a decade arguing is his best. The anniversary run puts the record front to back in rooms considerably smaller than the arenas Q has played in recent years. The Tabernacle's converted-sanctuary layout — GA floor below, tiered balconies stacked above — is unusually well suited to an album this claustrophobic. This is an all-ages show. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the performance at 8 p.m., at 152 Luckie Street NW.
