The Rat Utopia Experiment plays the Altar, the smallest and most intimate of the Masquerade's three rooms, on Friday, October 23. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show is all ages.
The band describes itself as a girl-fronted “circus” punk group out of Washington state, and has been billed as the Pacific Northwest's favorite circus act since forming in 2022. The current lineup runs five deep: Phia on vocals, Francis on bass, Maddox on lead guitar, Drix on rhythm guitar and Christian on drums.
The group arrives in Atlanta behind its newest single, “Lobotomize Me.” The Altar sits inside the Masquerade's home at Underground Atlanta, with parking and entrance at 75 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. SW. Tickets bought at the venue box office, open weekdays 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., avoid online fees.
