Nearly 30 years after opening in Little Five Points, Atlanta's premier soccer bar is looking ahead to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and expanding to a second location in South Downtown. Brewhouse Cafe, which was voted the best soccer bar in the U.S. in a survey by the popular Men In Blazers podcast, will join the restaurant lineup in South Downtown next year. The new location on Broad Street, about a 10-minute walk from Mercedes-Benz Stadium, would open in time for the World Cup, which begins its group stage in June.
The new 3,200-square-foot Brewhouse space will introduce a new look with "design elements that capture the warmth and character of a timeless European pub, while staying true to the energy and spirit fans have always loved." Owner Humberto Bermudez stated the new location represents expansion following the original location's roots, positioning South Downtown as the stage for future growth timed with the World Cup.
In other dining news, the Castellucci Hospitality Group announced two new hires: Tomoyuki Hayashi was named executive sushi chef at Mujo — which ranked first on the Atlanta 50 list — bringing over 25 years of sushi experience from Michelin-starred restaurants in New York. Nick Quinones was hired as beverage director for the entire Castellucci group, representing a return after previously working as general manager of Cooks & Soldiers.
Lucian Books & Wine received national recognition from Wine Spectator magazine as one of the editors' favorite wine bars in the country, praised as "one of Atlanta's most unique food-and-wine experiences" for its 400-bottle wine list and curated library. Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall installed a 14-foot exterior television screen along with additional indoor and outdoor TVs to serve as a gameday destination for college and professional football fans on the Atlanta Beltline.
