Centennial Yards — the 50-acre urban redevelopment project immediately south of Centennial Olympic Park and connected to Mercedes-Benz Stadium — has arrived at a significant moment. The development is now open and operating for the 2026 World Cup, with a concentration of dining, entertainment, and pop-up programming that makes it a logical home base for anyone spending time in the downtown core.
What Is Open
Cosm is the flagship entertainment venue, operated by Live Nation. An immersive dome experience, Cosm is unlike anything else in downtown Atlanta and well worth the visit independent of any match programming.
Chops Lobster Bar opened its Centennial Yards location in February 2026. The classic Atlanta steakhouse and seafood institution now has a second outpost steps from the stadium, which means you no longer have to go to Buckhead for the experience.
Khao Thai Isan brings regional Thai tapas and shareable plates to the district. This is the downtown location of the acclaimed restaurant, also opened early 2026.
Shake Shack and The Irish Exit round out the quick-service and pub options for match day crowds who need something fast.
Rise ATL
During the World Cup run (June 11 through July 15), Centennial Yards is hosting Rise ATL — a daily pop-up from 10 AM to 7 PM. Rotating local food and drink, a custom hat bar, and a caricature booth. Free to enter. Think of it as downtown Atlanta's answer to the international energy at the Fan Fest nearby.
