What to see
The Park is built to be explored on foot, and almost every plaza carries a piece of the 1996 Games. The Fountain of Rings, which the Park calls the most photographed spot of those Olympics, got new water displays, synchronized music and light shows in 2025. Nearby are the Olympic Rings, the eight 65-foot Hermes Towers around Centennial Plaza, and the Gateway of Dreams sculpture honoring Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympics.
The five Quilt Plazas, linked by cascading water gardens, each tell part of the story: the Quilt of Nations for the 197 nations that competed, and the Quilt of Remembrance, which honors Richard Jewell and law enforcement. Paralympic Plaza and the Paralympic Legacy monuments honor the 1996 Paralympians. At Unity Plaza, the 26-foot Androgyne Planet sculpture was a gift from Barcelona after its 1992 Games.
Events and green space
The Southern Company Amphitheater sits among tall Japanese cryptomeria trees and hosts concerts and community gatherings. The Magnolia Tribute Garden’s path of 29 magnolias loops around it. If you bought a commemorative brick, the Park’s website has a locator for finding it.
Before you go
The Park lists daily fountain shows at noon, 2:30, 6:30 and 9:00 p.m. Pets are welcome on a leash. The Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola are Park neighbors.
