Alma Cocina

What it is

Alma Cocina is a Fifth Group restaurant at the base of Peachtree Towers on Peachtree Street. It serves contemporary Mexican and Latin American cooking, a short walk from the downtown arenas and Centennial Olympic Park. It works for a working lunch nearby as well as a sit-down dinner before a game or show.

What to order

Lunch leans on tortas and spreads of taquitos. Guacamoles and salsas change with the seasons, and the chicken mole Oaxaca is a signature dish. The bar claims one of the widest tequila lists in the city, and there is a list of original cocktails to go with it.

Before you go

Lunch runs weekdays and dinner is served every night. Weekday happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. fills the gap between the two. Getting here

According to the restaurant, guests can park in the 191 deck on Ellis Street, just past the valet stand for The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta. Alma validates up to two hours.
