What it is
Atlanta Magic Theater is a 40-seat showroom inside Embassy Suites at Centennial Olympic Park, where magician and owner Peter Morrison performs sleight of hand just a few feet from the audience. The 75-minute show mixes close-up miracles, mentalism and clean comedy, with audience members pulled into the act. The theater bills it as a fit for date nights, ladies’ nights and family outings.
Showtimes and tickets
Shows run Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 6:30 and 9 p.m. VIP tickets ($50) guarantee a front-row seat; general admission ($40) is seated in order of arrival. With so few seats, most performances sell out in advance, so book ahead on the theater’s website.
Before you go
The theater is on the ground level of the hotel, to the left of the atrium. Guests are invited to arrive up to 75 minutes early to pick up tickets at will call and catch close-up magic in the designated pre-show area. Want a drink? The bar at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, across the atrium, sells drinks you can carry into the pre-show area and the showroom. If you’re pairing the show with dinner, the theater suggests booking your table at least two hours before showtime.
Getting here
The hotel offers limited valet parking at a flat $15 for up to four hours with proof of a ticket, first come, first served.
